Cloak & Dagger is a new craft cocktail lounge that opened up in Cleveland, Ohio in October of 2020. The bar's branding, interior, and menu have a literary theme that pulls inspiration from old esoteric books and novels to create a dark but comforting & hospitable environment.
The custom typeface is a unique modern take on blackletter fonts often found in old books. The menus are published seasonally in the form of themed books influenced by illuminated manuscripts and woodcut inspired illustrations. To-go cocktail bottles were also created to bring the bar experience home when dining during the pandemic.
